CHEF SOPHIE’S-4.5 Stars
If you are looking for a great durable Electric Knife Sharpener, I recommend the ( Chef’s Choice Model 151 Stainless Steel Universal Electric Knife Sharpener ). Based on customer’s reviews, this knife sharpener is the best! It sharpens all kinds of knives easily and perfectly. The reason why I rated this product 4.5 Stars is because I personally don’t use this brand, but I use the ( KitchenIQ 50009 Edge Grip 2 Stage Knife Sharpener, Black ). It’s cheaper and convenient, however it’s limited to sharpening all kinds of knives. I don’t highly recommend it , but if you find it a perfect fit for you it can help you sharpen basic knives. Before you decide go and check other reviews.
I think most of my friends would never guess that I love to cook. Yes, a male who writes for machine and human(programmer+blogger). They will like go “What does he know about cooking”.
Well, cooking has been one of my side interest(although I’m no chef myself). While I have a set of basic utensils. What I lack is a knife sharpener. I always thought it used to be the conventional knife sharpening stone. Until I saw your post.
Probably should think of getting one since my knifes are getting slightly blunt.
You’re welcome Kenny, I’m glad to hear you like to cook and found this information useful. When you get your Sharpener, you’ll become an amazing chef.
Thanks for the review, Chef Sophie. Does this sharpener also sharpen serrated knives? This is always the bone of my contention whenever I’m looking for a new knife sharpener. For whatever reason serrated knives seem to be the ‘poor relation’ when it comes to their upkeep.
You’re welcome Tony. I’m glad you found this information useful. To tell you the truth I do not use it myself, but base on customers reviews it does sharp all kinds of knives. But I’m planning to buy this electronic knife.
My knives are getting a bit dull and I’ve actually been looking for a knife sharpener. This seems like it does the trick – It does seem a bit pricey though. My budget is more or less below $100. Can you recommend a knife sharpener in my price range?
yes Matt, I agree with you it’s to expensive.I have this little (KitchenIQ 50009 Edge Grip 2 Stage Knife Sharpener, Black).
It’s cheap and still work good, you can use it for all basic knives. It’s perfect for family. Actually Amazon gives a big discount on it. Check my website and see. http://chefsophiekitchen.com
