How to use?

I always try to curve a normal knife when cutting a watermelon. This is a great knife for this purpose. I tend to cut to much into the white or waste some of the actual fruit. I need to get one.

I did see this on tv and I was not sure if this item is worth the money. Is this only for watermelon? I eat cantaloupe a lot and I am wondering if I can use it for that? I think I can right?
